Ebooks

Thanks to everybody who purchased the Ebooks I have written, "The A-Z of Sea Kayaking" and "The Channel Islands: A Sea Kayaking Guide" during March.  It has turned out to be the best month ever for sales.

They have been published for the Kindle and are available as a download from Amazon.  The Channel Islands book contains well over one hundred photographs and 45,000 words whilst the A-Z has well over 100,000 words, which is equivalent to over 240 pages of A4.  They are available for not much more than the cost of a magazine.
It is possible to download Kindle apps for PC's, Mac's, iPads, iPhones, Androids etc with the added advantage that the photographs, in the Channel Islands book, will appear in colour.

A-Z of Sea Kayaking

Many thanks to everybody who has purchased a copy of my e book "The A-Z of Sea Kayaking" from Amazon in the UK or from amazon.com.  It comes out at nearly 300 pages long and I wrote it initially for the Kindle but it can be read on a variety of other devices if you download the Kindle App.
I have attempted to put as much information as possible in the book about topics as varied as personalities, skills, history, equipment etc.
I know that there is something very satisfying about having a book in your hands but the e book format enables the books to be sold for less and so it is possible to buy titles which you may not have considered otherwise.
It is also a very convenient format whilst away on longer trips.  Last year we did a two week paddle through the Greek islands and on my Kindle I was able to have my reading books, the Sailing Directions, a tourist guide, ferry timetables, copies of maps and charts plus some other items all on one device smaller than a paperback book.  Ideal when space is at a premium.

New Project

Apologies for the delay in updating the site but other projects have been absorbing my time. A 12 day paddle to Santorini was one of the distractions and the other was completing a project for the Kindle.
It has finally gone live on Amazon and is available here.

At over 230 pages of A4 in Word and more than 100,000 words long I have tried to include plenty of useful information which might be useful for kayakers at a variety of standards. It represents a lot of the information that we gathered for the old Sea Paddler site. There will clearly be omissions but I hope that they are not too obvious.

Once I have had time to gather my breath I will finish work on the next project, which isn't quite as long.
