I had to complete some work at St Ouens this afternoon so I cycled via the smaller lanes including past this bridge. Although it no longer links to anywhere, in the past it carried one of the German railway lines which crossed St Ouen's Bay.
There used to be an embankment coming in from the left of the bridge, the remnants of which can still be seen in the fields to the west. I have thought for a long time that there should be a plaque nearby explaining why this concrete bridge now stands alone below Val de la Mar dam.
