Having arrived back in Jersey, we were greeted by weather which wouldn't have been out of place in Istanbul earlier in the week. Amazingly though today was the joint warmest 3rd January. A maximum of 13
°
C, equalling the previous record from 1999. Winds were also gusting up to 45 knots, so a day on the land seemed preferable to a difficult day on the sea. A walk along the cliffs of the north west corner of Jersey seemed a good choice with some stunning images of light and water. The swell was running into Stinky Bay which is a great place to start a paddle on a calmer day.
