First after work paddle

Today was the first day that I have managed to get out paddling after work this year.  We launched from St Brelade's in conditions which were far more pleasant than we encountered on Saturday.  As time was short we went out on the stand up paddleboards  as opposed to the sea kayaks, practicing for the new BCU Star Tests!
It was quick circuit out towards to Pt Le Fret, back past La Cotte de St Brelade and returned to the beach surfing a few waves as we went along.  It is nights like these that I realize why I live in Jersey.  Roll on summer!

Leaving the beach, Pt Le Fret is the headland on the far side of the bay, where we were heading.

Chester heading across the bay.  Conditions were ideal and temperatures were very pleasant.

Looking across towards Beauport.

Chester approaching La Cotte de St Brelade, one of the most important archaeological sites on the island and the site of continuing investigations.

Kevin silhouetted against Beauport as the sun finally sets.  What better way to spend a February evening after work.
We followed the shore at St Brelade's, catching a few small waves as we passed in front of the L'Horizon Hotel.  In the summer this beach would be crowded but tonight we had it largely to ourselves.
